Rev. Porsha Damita Williams, is a native of Bridgeport, CT.
Currently, Porsha is the Pastor In Residence at Mt. Aery Baptist Church in Bridgeport, CT, where the Rev. Dr. Anthony L. Bennett is the Senior Pastor. Her work mainly focuses on curriculum development, strategic planning, community organizing, and sharing a gospel of prophetic liberation for the lost, least, and the left out, through pastoral relationship building and social media. She also serves a bridge between the generations of her congregation as the only pastoral leader under 40.
Porsha is a 2012 graduate of Spelman College, with a BA in English, and is a 2015 graduate of Yale Divinity School with a Master of Divinity. She is the 2015 recipient of the Henry Hallam Tweedy Prize for exceptional promise in pastoral leadership, from Yale University.
Porsha is a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. She is also the creator of the Porshanality blog, and the voice of the upcoming Sister Soapbox podcast. She is also the Co-Host of Just 2 Pearls, a podcast for millennial women. In her spare time, Porsha enjoys reading books, writing daily in her journal, watching movies and spending time with her puppy, Paris.
