DR. HERLDLEEN RUSSELL #BlackChurchHERSTORY

A Native of Chicago, Illinois, Dr. Herldleen Russell has traveled to Africa, Central and South America, Europe and throughout the United States as a speaker and teacher. She is an International Evangelist for the Church of God in Christ, Inc.  Evangelist Russell is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois and has a Doctorate of Divinity from Trinity Hall College and Seminary.

Supervisor Russell and her teams have taken hundreds of pounds of clothing, shoes, and school supplies to the orphans of Uganda.  They have also delivered over 1,000 pounds of medical supplies to clinics.  The Women’s Conferences are also hosts of Women’s Health Initiatives whereby medical personnel have joined her team.  A building program has been initiated, the first orphanage named for Dr. Ada Powell Marshall, former Supervisor of Greater MD First Jurisdiction, is completed. Bishop Lawrence Wooten extension for the school is finished along with other additions to the school in Mpigi, Uganda.  A church in the village of Buyala is in its final stages of being completed along with a small school. Sites for more schools and orphanages are being investigated.
